The scene that would define what ‘being strong’ means for the BB19 season, is the one where Malti kicks Farhana’s legs off the coffee table. Farhana ka ‘khauff’ was so strong that most people would peter down and slither away when she started blowing hot .. even guys like Pranit who would start arguing with her and gave some hope that he would hit back hard, would peter away by saying softly ‘theek hai, woh tumhara viewpoint hai yeh mera hai’! Arre darpok.. that is exactly what the fight should be about .. that her viewpoint is wrong!
Malti was the only one during the latter half that gave Farhana back blow by blow, without flinching. The only issue was of course that she had a limit to the nonsense she could take, and hence ‘walked out’! Sometimes not actually ‘walking out’ but just giving up and not responding .. like the one during weekend ka var when she was screaming ‘shut up’ to Farhana (in front of Salman!) but after a while she walked out and on her way out Farhana was retorting back that ‘dubaara shut up bola toh main muh dikhaane layak nahin chodungi..’ .. at that point Malti should have come back and asked her ‘kya kar legi? tujhme himmat toh nahin hai..sirf baatein badi badi karti hai .. tuh kuch karke toh dekh phir pata lagega kisse pala pada hai etc.’ .. but she continued walking out .. made her look a little weak .. she had done similar confrontation earlier when she went up close to Farhana and said eye-to-eye (literally) ‘kya karegi?’ etc. She has the guts that none others had but she did not have the patience. The reason why Farhana went ahead was because she seemed like the only one who could dish back to everyone and not take BS lying down (she went too far in negativity, but people prefer the brave not the weak). By not responding till the end, Malti appeared weaker and never cemented the impression that she is actually super strong and is actually hitting back hard against Farhana. In fact if she had she would have exposed Farhana as weak, as Farhana did use to get shaken up if someone retaliates back strongly against her.
There were others who were capable of facing Farhana eye-to-eye .. the best was Basheer .. god, BB19 just died when he left. The only one super confident, super cool and could dish it back without flinching was him. Next was Abhishek who could scream back, but what he said did not make sense and hence did not dent Farhana much. You need to bring out intelligent points to expose her arguments as empty, that’s when people say ‘iske baat main dum hai’. The only other person who could fight back against Farhana was Amaal, but he was all fire for a few episodes and then became a bheegi billi who seemed too afraid to counter Farhana and was seen sucking up to her. He even chastised Gaurav when he was railing (rare occasion) against Farhana, and told him not respond (Seriously, these guys did their best to make Bib Boss into a silent movie!). I think it was because Amaal took feedback on weekend ka vaar too seriously .. he was ‘kaan ka kaccha’ indeed, because he changed after hearing Salman and his Dad (and miscontrued their inputs to assume it meant to stay quiet and sleep all day!)
But there was one situation (that came up many times) where no one confronted her on .. a situation that was begging for a response to her ‘dadagiri’ but everyone just slid back into their mouseholes on hearing her roar! Thanks to everyone falling for Gaurav’s insaneness that ‘I will not respond when she is expecting me to’ .. so basically you give her a free ride for everything so she appears like Jhansi ki Rani!
